Our house

At Lagar house, which stands on the narrowest of labyrinthine streets, only 1m 30cm wide, guests will enjoy its sober refined atmosphere in a luxuriously appointed, typically Andalusian setting in the very heart of Seville, a stone’s throw from the Town Hall and very close to the imposing Church of San Salvador.

Our building has a classic 19thcentury façade and is entered through a large wooden door. Crossing the hall flanked by 4 old columns brings you into a beautiful, surprisingly bright and peaceful Seville patio, where the silence is only disturbed by the intermittent murmur of the water trickling fromthe fountain —a traditional, decorative element in Moorish culture.  The patio has marble floors and is covered by a spectacular dome that bathes the space below in natural light and harmony.A modern stairway takes you up to a galleryrunning round the patio, providing access to the apartments on the upper floors. There is also an elevator. All the apartments were remodelled in 2018. These possess a unique elegance, with pure, clean, harmonious lines, in which comfort and beauty are paramount.

They distil the very essence of Seville: ceramic motifs from Trianain the bathrooms, crockery from the kilns of the local Real Monasteriode la Cartuja(Royal Carthusian Monastery), plants and greenery to refresh the gaze, and paintings by contemporary Seville artists decorating the walls, as one might expect in the city of Velazquez, Murillo and Zurbaran. The aim is to make travellers feel that they are guests in a house with its roots in Seville.
On the roof of our apartments, there is a delightful terrace where guests can enjoy the sun or relax with a drink while watching the sun go down over the domes of the imposing Church of San Salvador.
